How Do Sermorelin Peptide Therapy Injections Work?

We are happy to introduce the three-step kit to our Nashville and Brentwood practice, consisting of Sermorelin, Low-Dose Naltrexone, and a vitamin blend. As we age, our body produces less growth hormone, which is essential for heart health, hair growth, muscle mass, weight loss, proper organ function and more. Sermorelin falls under the class of injectable peptides called Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone, or GHRH. Sermorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to release more of the body’s own Growth Hormone. This leads to an increase in muscle mass, fat reduction and weight loss, increased energy and endurance, boosted strength, more efficient wound healing, and cardiovascular health improvement and more.

What Is Involved in the Sermorelin Program?

This program consists of three steps:

First, patients will have a consultation with Rachel Chenier, PA-C, about their weight loss and muscle mass goals, medical history, and any other concerns.

Next, patients will have preliminary labs done to optimize the safety and efficacy of the treatment.
- Please note that any patients with a history of Hypothyroidism will not be eligible for this therapy.

Finally, once candidacy is ensured, the Amaka Aesthetics team will order your kit and have it sent to your house, where you will self-administer the injections and take each medication as directed.

What Is Included in the Sermorelin Therapy Weight Loss Kit?

Your Amaka Aesthetics weight loss kit for sermorelin therapy will include a carefully selected and formulated set of three medications that, when taken together, help promote fat loss, lean muscle mass, skin health, mental clarity, and energy levels—among other benefits.

Below, we have outlined how each medication should be taken and what role it plays in your weight loss and lean muscle building journey:

Sermorelin: Sermorelin is an injectable solution that is self-administered 5-7 times a week at night. It stimulates the pituitary gland to produce more growth hormone (GH), which naturally decreases with age. Increased GH levels lead to a faster workout recovery as well as increased lean muscle mass, which leads to fat reduction through lipolysis. GH can also help restore the body’s natural sleep cycle, grow thicker hair, promote clearer skin, support stronger nails, increase libido, and improve insulin sensitivity.

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN): LDN is taken as a once-daily pill. Benefits include appetite reduction, feeling full faster, enhanced mental clarity, accelerated fat burning, and weight loss. LDN can help create an improved ratio of calories burned to calories taken in through diet to help normalize hormone levels and aid in weight loss. Many patients also report a reduction in “food noise” as a result of taking LDN, helping them to think about food less often and develop a healthier, more balanced relationship with nutrition.

Lipo-Trim Sublingual Spray: Lipo-Trim SL is a spray solution that should be administered under the tongue once a day. It contains a balanced selection of amino acids and B vitamins to enhance energy levels, boost metabolism, and provide support for the immune system.

Who Is a Good Candidate for the Sermorelin Injections?

The ideal candidate for this weight loss program is someone who exercises regularly, has a good diet, and is looking to build muscle and lose weight. It works best for patients who have 20lbs or less to lose. It can also be great for individuals with resistant abdominal fat/visceral fat, as well.

This program consists of three steps:

Please note that any patients with a history of Type 1 diabetes, pancreatitis, currently on chemotherapy, or history of an eating disorder will not be eligible for this therapy.
Once candidacy is ensured, the Amaka Aesthetics team will order your kit and have it sent to your house, where you will self-administer the injections and take each medication as directed.

How Does GLP-1 Receptor Agonist Solution Work?

How it works:

Increases insulin release from pancreas and decreases glucose production by liver
Mimics two natural gut hormones (activates the GIP and GLP-1 receptors)

What it does:

Helps you lose weight when COMBINED with diet and exercise
Delays gastric emptying (makes you feel full faster and longer)
Lowers Hemoglobin A1C

What Is Included in My GLP-1 Receptor Agonist Injection Protocol?

GLP-1 Receptor Agonist Injection Therapy:

You will receive the GLP-1 receptor agonist solution in a vial
You will inject yourself once weekly (on the same day each week)
This vial will last you 12-14 weeks

Zofran:

These dissolve on your tongue to reduce nausea. They will be called into your pharmacy of choice and you are responsible for payment to that pharmacy.

B12 injection:

You will receive a premixed vial and you will inject yourself once a week on the same day as your GLP-1 receptor agonist injection.
Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient to support energy production, neurological function, and the formation of red blood cells. When combined with the GLP-1 receptor agonist solution, B12 can enhance the medication’s effectiveness and support overall health, and reduce side effect profile.
